How do I Switch?

Nothing could be easier.

Just call our Customer Helpline at 08457 455 455 and we will look after the switching process for you.

To allow us to deal with your request quickly, when you call please have your:

  • Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) from your bill*
  • Meter reading(s) – these will become the closing readings for your old supplier and your opening readings with us
  • Bank details – to allow us to set up your direct debit

Even if you move into premises that were registered with another supplier by the previous occupant, we can switch you to Power NI quickly and easily.

* For new connections in new premises the network operator Northern Ireland Electricity will provide you with a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN).

How long will it take?

Please allow up to 5 working days to complete the switch (10 days for new connections ). Occasionally the existing supplier will challenge the move, for example for the outstanding payment of bills. If this happens we will call you to tell you what your options are.
