Heat pumps have been an increasingly popular technology within the UK. The technology is not new as it uses the same technology that powers your fridge and air conditioning.
Heat pumps take low temperature heat from the ground, air or water and upgrade it so that it can be used for space heating, and sometimes hot water.
Ground source heat pumps can either use a borehole or ground loop to take the heat from the ground while air source heat pumps extract heat from the air outside your home and water source heat pumps take heat from a lake, river or stream. Heat pumps use electricity to boost the low temperature heat from the ground, air or water to the level needed by your heating system. A heat pump performs particularly well in well insulated buildings so it is important to make sure that your home is well insulated before considering installing one.
Heat pumps are a good alternative to oil central heating and we can give you peace of mind because we are working heat pumps which are designed and manufactured by a local company. They work best in a well insulated home but if you need any extra insulation, we can take care of that for you too.
You can rest assured that our expert team will carry out a full assessment of your home and then if you decide to go ahead we will design, install and commission the system for you – all you have to do is look forward to using your new heating system*.
