I would like to close an account for a deceased relative.

We’re committed to giving you as much support as we can. If you have suffered personal loss recently, paperwork’s probably the last thing on your mind. We’ll do all we can to make any enquiries completely stress free.

We may need to ask you a few questions, so it will help to have these details to hand when you call:

-          your relationship to the deceased

-          the date the person passed away

-          the customer’s address and account number or meter point reference number (MPRN)

-          an up to date meter reading

-          a contact phone number for you

-          details about who will be responsible for the account moving forwards
