Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy supplier, donated £250 to Edenderry Nursery. This West Belfast based nursery used the money to purchase imaginative play equipment to develop the children’s creative and expressive skills. The donation is a result of Power NI’s staff sponsorship scheme, ‘Helping Hands’, which encourages employees to nominate an organisation of their choice.

Power NI employee, Susan Hutchinson,  who is from Belfast and whose daughter attends the nursery, nominated the organisation to receive the funding: "As a parent I’m pleased to see local companies supporting our children, and as an employee of Power NI, I’m proud to see their grant directly impact my daughters’ nursery through the provision of new imaginative play equipment."

Grainne Drain, Edenderry nursery school teacher added: "The nursery school is really pleased and so grateful for the support received from Power NI. The children will benefit greatly from the new equipment purchased with the grant."
