But nothing says “Christmas” more than a magical Christmas Market. And this year, it seems every town all the way from Ballynahinch to Ballycastle is joining in the tradition. It’s become the must-do activity for young and old, couples and families, friends and work colleagues.

1. BELFAST CHRISTMAS CONTINENTAL MARKET
17th November - 22nd December
Belfast City Hall
Step into Christmas with handmade and bespoke buys, international cuisine like hot Gluhwein, Belgian chocolate, Baklava crepes and Bratwurst sausage, visit Santa’s Grotto, ride the vintage carousel and a post a letter direct to the North Pole!
2. CHRISTMAS AT ST. GEORGE’S MARKET
24th November – 23rd December
St. George’s certainly doesn’t do things by halves. And when it comes to Christmas, it goes all out! Listen to live music, sample the delicious and delectable dishes and don’t forget the Twilight Market on 11th and 12th December – truly magical!
3. MAGICAL CHRISTMAS FAIR BELFAST CASTLE (£)

13. CHRISTMAS WINTERLAND MARKETS

The lights are on, as well as hats and gloves…And a whole host of Christmas atmosphere at the Winterland Markets, right in the heart of the City, with gorgeous gifts, scrumptious food and plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Global goes local at this exciting event. Online crafted goods giant Etsy is giving local creators the space and support to sell their exquisite creations. Watch how it’s done with some delightful demonstrations; meet the makers and stock up on stocking fillers.
18. ARTISAN FOOD & CRAFT MARKET
Enjoy an open air, early evening Artisan Food & Craft Market with Santa arriving via RNLI Lifeboat (well, it is coastal territory) all finished off with a fabulous fireworks display.
19. HANDMADE ARTS & CRAFTS MARKET
Boy do these crafters really make the grade! For the past 5 years they’ve been honing their hand-made produce and bringing it to bear for all those who are in search of something that little bit different.
20. YULETIDE MARKET ROWALLANE (£)
8th & 9th December
There’s festive fun for everyone with the National Trust. Pick up a bespoke Christmas Wreath, beautifully hand-made by the Rowallane Gardening Team, and keep your eyes peeled for Santa himself as he wanders around the stunning surroundings with craft and food stalls.

21. ENNISKILLEN CHRISTMAS CRAFT & FOOD MARKET
The Diamond, Enniskillen
Visit the traditional Christmas Craft and Food Market in the Buttermarket on Saturday 1 December, along with festive family street entertainment in the Diamond from 12 noon – 4 pm. A range of food and craft delights will be available on the day, with the Market continuing on until 9.30 pm
22. CHRISTMAS CRAFT AND FOOD MARKET
Old Market Place, Omagh
Get down to Omagh’s Christmas Craft and Food Market in Old Market Place, Omagh.There’ll be a range of food and craft delights available from 12 noon until 4pm. There will also be festive family street entertainment in the town centre from 12 noon – 4pm.
