1. BELFAST AUTUMN FAIR

Botanic Gardens, Belfast
Explore all things Autumn, in one place!
Botanic Gardens provides the beautiful backdrop for a fabulous flower show, homemade foods and handmade goods, a safari train ride, combat laser, carnival games, giant bubbles, dance workshops, magic shows, live music and more.

2. BOUNCE ARTS FESTIVAL
13th – 16th September
Black Box, Belfast
The University of Atypical showcases a terrific display of talent from our deaf and disabled communities.
Music, dance, poetry, art; enjoy an eclectic mix of creativity, originality and diversity, with unmissable performances from Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Robert White and Streetwise Circus amongst others.

3. SEE YOUR STREETS

See Carrick close up!
Get right under the skin of this fascinating historic town with an Ulster Architectural Heritage Walking Tour. Discover the meanings behind certain details on buildings, learn what to look for and what they represent.
If you’re into architecture, it’s right up your street.
4. CHOCOLATE & FINE FOOD FESTIVAL
Friday 14th – Sunday 16th September

Dive into chocolate heaven this weekend.
To celebrate the scrumptious work of Hans Sloane, inventor of milk chocolate (Hans, we salute you!), get along to Killyleagh Castle for the Finnebrogue Artisan celebration with a Chocolate Ball on Friday night, fine food stalls and all things chocolate, all weekend!
And the feel good doesn’t stop there, with event funds supporting Cancer Fund for Children.
5. MARINE CONSERVATION SOCIETY BEACH WALK
Saturday 15th September, 10am – 12pm
Murlough National Nature Reserve, Newcastle
Bring comfy footwear, a coat, the dog and a sense of camaraderie.
Windswept dunes and wildlife, golden beaches and vantage points, help keep Ireland’s only National Nature Reserve as beautiful and as breathtaking as nature intended.
Do your bit on what is ‘shore’ to be a great day out.
6. WINTERFELL FESTIVAL
Sunday 16th September
Castle Ward, Strangford
Adult £25, Child £10, Under 5s FREE
Enter the world of Westeros.
You will literally step onto the film set and see Winterfell characters in action; swordfighting displays, falconry shows, skilled blacksmiths, weavers and armourers at work, try shooting a bow & arrow, see the Stark Family’s Direwolf Dogs.
This is a medieval, majestic and monumental must for any Game of Thrones fan.
7. FORAGING SUNDAY

Navan Centre & Fort, Armagh
Nettle soup anyone?
Forage for food with a specially trained guide and see what can be cooked up using the natural edible ingredients around us. Cherries, apples, mushrooms, berries, you’ll be amazed at the delicious dishes created.

8. DUNGANNON FAMILY FUN DAY
Sunday 16th September, 2-5pm
Hill of the O’Neill, Ranfurly House

Book an afternoon of good old fashioned family fun!

This superb cycling event offers up 2 routes, so there’s something for all cycling abilities. The more advanced course takes in the FEAR Adventure Race with full marshaling and hot food for all who get on board.

10. NEON NIGHT MAIZE MAZE

You’ll never be lost for something to do here!
Gather your glow sticks, plaster on some fluorescent face paint and find your way through this night-time maze. With Glamping Pods and Bell Tents available on site, why not make a whole night of it!

11. PHOTOGRAPHIC TREASURE HUNT

Carnfunnock Country Park, Larne
Snap up a super day out on what is World Photo Day!
Find the clues within Carnfunnock’s original Walled Garden, Ice House or Lime Kilns, or make your way through the amazing Maze, Play Park or even hop aboard the Mini Train - with plenty of scope to capture imaginations.
