1. INTERNATIONAL ROSE WEEK

2. RED SAILS FESTIVAL

Fancy a yarn? You’ve come to the right place!
For a group of ‘Knitwits’ will take to the promenade to ‘Yarn Bomb’ crowds at 12 noon. With giant bubbles, community drumming, hula hoping, mood walking, artworks, stone painting and a cycle-tastic puppet show!
The feel-good atmosphere is sure to bring the promenade alive!
3. POP-UP CAMPING & BBQ

This weekend, we’re going all out for sleeping out!
If you’re closer to Co. Down, bring your overnight things and sleep how nature intended. With Mini-beast Hunting, Bat Detecting, Bush-crafts and Stargazing, this is definitely a story for back to school ‘What I did in the summer holidays’!

5. SUMMER MUSIC SERIES

6. ULSTER PIPE BAND CHAMPIONSHIP

Attention, all pipe band fans.
Make your way to the County Down seaside town of Newcastle this Saturday and you’ll be met with the unmistakable sounds of over 40 pipe bands and drum majors as each one competes for the coveted Ulster title.
Pipes and drums, and lots of fun, it’s a day filled with music and pride.
7. ATLANTIC CHALLENGE 2018
20th - 28th July
Antrim Castle Gardens
You won’t want to miss this gig!
See seamanship skills at their finest with a week-long International Contest of nautical know-how. From a vantage point on the edge of Lough Neagh you’ll view sailing, rowing, navigation, rope skills and much more in this sea spectacle.

8. SUPERCUP NI
Sunday 21st – 27th July
This Sunday kicks off the 5-day event in super style.
Join the crowds lining the streets to welcome youth teams from across the world to complete at various venues in the North West. Follow the carnival parade through the street of Coleraine to The Showgrounds.
This annual event has become a top fixture for recognising future talent.
9. BALLYCASTLE SEAFRONT ARTISAN MARKET

Enjoy a feast for the senses and a stunning sea view!
Each and every vendor has poured passion, unique talent and pride into their artisan wares, so browse around, stop a while and chat a while, and discover their craft, sample their produce, and take a little home to savour.

10. FOYLE CUP FINAL

The final whistle is about to be blown in the O’Neill’s Foyle Cup.
Dubbed ‘The friendly face of football’ the Foyle Cup attracts young teams from all around the world to compete, meet and have fun on and off the pitch. Come and lend your support, catch a match, cheer on the under 10s right up to under 19s.
With talent scouts on the sidelines you could be watching the next big thing.
11. THE FLORA OF CAVE HILL

Want to know your foliage from your fauna?
What better way to brush up on your plant knowledge than with an expertly guided tour at Cave Hill? Meet like-minded flora-lovers and walk amongst pretty pathways in the nature reserve in Ballyaghagan.
It’s a wonderful way to get up close and personal with Mother Nature.
12. DOWN RALLY 2018
Saturday 21st July
Eikon Centre, Lisburn
Gear up for a great day out for all the family, sponsored by Carryduff Forklift!
Don’t miss the high octane, high energy, adrenaline-fuelled action throughout the day, with kids’ entertainment and car displays also on show. Plus, you’ll get to see top rally drivers both behind the wheel and behind the scenes.

13. NEWTOWNARDS AIRFIELD OPEN DAY
Sunday 22nd July, 10am - 4pm
Fancy test-driving a light aircraft this Sunday?
How about a helicopter ride? The Ulster Flying Club is inviting you to fly in and have a go. With a Model Air Display from 12-1pm, static Aircraft Displays, experts on hand with information and advice, and lots of kids activities.
It’s an event that’s sure to get off the ground!
14. Saintfield Show
Saturday 21st July
Lawsons Farm, Lough Road, Boardmills
Adults £10, Children FREE
Get down on the farm at Lawsons farm this weekend for the annual Saintfield Show.
There’ll be agricultural and equestrian classes to watch, craft stalls with local produce, children’s entertainment, a novelty dog show, children’s farm and a best dressed farmer boy and girl competition!
