1. BELFAST CITY BLUES FESTIVAL

This weekend, paint the town blue!
Every great pub in Belfast is in on the act from The John Hewitt to The Dirty Onion to Blues on the Boat! Buckle up for some of the finest local and international Blues artists celebrating the 10th anniversary of this amazing festival.

2. PIRATES OFF PORTRUSH & HERITAGE FAIR

The little ones will love this!
See fearless pirate Tavish Dhu in this a swashbuckling, dragon slaying, Ninja warrior adventure; as he protects Portrush from the Emperor of the Orient. Wide-eyed wonderment awaits, at this historic reenactment sure to delight and excite all.
With treasure hunts, dress up and dance, it’s a ‘hearty’ day out!
3. OUTDOOR ADVENTURES AT CROM

Lay down your mobile phones, tablets and games consoles; get off line and into a real-life adventure. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon amidst the wonder and wildlife at Crom Estate.

4. COUNTRY COMES TO CITY

Ebrington Square, Derry/Londonderry
The cream of country music flows into the city for a night to remember.
Lisa McHugh, Mike Denver and Michael English will take to the stage to perform a full set of hits to a huge crowd, in what has become one of the largest country music festivals in Northern Ireland.
Make sure you’ve got your ticket! Cowboy hat and steel toe boots optional.
5. ULTIMATE STRONGMAN MASTERS WORLD CHAMPION 2018

Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast

Flex those muscles for the big guns are out - and they don’t mess about!
Channel 5 will be live from Crumlin Road Gaol to film the legends in action as they battle for the title via Truck Pull, Super Yoke, Car Deadlift and Medley Eliminator. It’s certainly not for the faint hearted!

6. BALLYKELLY BANK WALK

It’s hard to beat a good old Sunday Stroll.
And this one is pretty special. Join the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust for a gentle ‘dander’ and mindful meander by the Ballykelly Bank, alongside the freshwater pond and looking out over Lough Foyle.
It’s truly inspiring and utterly breathtaking.
7. LAZY SUNDAYS AT THE ARGORY

It’s what Sundays in Summer are made for.
Easy listening music, a delicious summer BBQ and plenty to keep the kids entertained, this 1820s Irish gentry home has just the right balance of beauty and fun for everyone.

8. FERGUSON HERITAGE TRACTOR DAY 2108

Celebrate the genius of Harry Ferguson, most famous for tractors but also the first person from the UK to build and fly his own plane and the inventor of the only Formula 1 winning four-wheel-drive car.
This annual event pays tribute to one of our home-grown pioneers.
9. BATTLEBAGS AND BLIMPS
Saturday 30th June, 11am - 4pm

How about having your picture taken with a Bentra Aerodome?
Carrickfergus Museum and Living Legacies 1914-1918 needs your help to launch their Community Heritage Project. So bring along your WW1 stories, artefacts and memorabilia to show and share with us.
With lots of activities and displays on the day to suit all ages.
10. THE PORTAFERRY SAILS AND SOUNDS FESTIVAL
Thursday 28th June – Sunday 1st July
Portaferry & Various Venues
Now in its third year, all kinds of boats will parade the high seas (well, Strangford Lough) for all to see!
Step aboard a Tall Ship and venture up the lough with lunch included. Make a pirate hat, learn about Scottish and Irish music and dance, with free concerts, workshops, the obligatory bouncy castle and face painting!
The sights and sounds of the sails is something to behold!
11. ENNISKILLEN ROAD RACES
Friday 29th – Saturday 30th June
FREE to spectators
The Fermanagh Road Races return for the first time in 66 years!
So brace yourself for the unmistakable whir of engines around three miles of tree-lined, blind-jumping, sweeping-cornered circuit under the watchful eye of the Cuilagh Mountains.
Minutes away, is the Stairway to Heaven walk over at Marble Arch Geopark – a must-see for any rider.
12. SCHOOL’S OUT AT GIRDWOOD COMMUNITY HUB
Saturday 30th June, 1-4pm
Everyone’s invited to a big old knees up with ‘community’ at heart.
Come and see the facilities on offer including the state of the art shared space sports emporium and ‘welcome all’ community hub. With bouncy castles and go-karts, climbing wall and food stalls, music and balloon modelers, face painters and entertainers.
It’s a great way to kick off the school holidays.
