What is the best tariff for my business?

For small businesses we have three tariffs to choose from, the best one depends on your type of business: 

  • Popular – best for mixed retail, offices and premises with 9-5 opening hours 

  • Nightsaver – best for food retail, premises with storage heating or lots of fridges/chillers 

  • Weekender – best for pubs etc. and premises open mainly in the evenings and at weekend

Notes

1. Details of other tariffs and discounts are available by calling our Customer Helpline on 08000 285 455 (lines open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
2. All unit rates are quoted in pence. One unit is one kilowatt-hour.
3. All times are Greenwich Mean Time. Please add one hour during summer time.
4. Discounted rates are based 4% Direct Debit discount and an additional 2% online billing discount.
5. Climate Change Levy (CCL) applies if on average you use more than 33 units of electricity a day. It only applies to electricity which attracts full rate VAT. CCL is in addition to the quoted rates above.
6. An Energy Price Adjustment (EPA) will apply to reflect changes in the price of wholesale electricity in the Single Electricity Market. 

For larger premises where the supply has a power rating of 70kVA or more, you may choose from Multirate, Maximum Demand or Market Tracker (sometimes called Pool Price Pass Through). Please call our Customer Helpline for advice on choosing the best one.
