During 2021, we’re thrilled and proud to mark a decade as leading energy brand ‘Power NI’ and 90 years of servicing local communities with their electricity needs.
Today that is still our mantra as we support hundreds of community organisations large and small, charities, primary and secondary schools.
By all of us proactively coming together we believe we can be more powerful together.
Our ongoing projects include Brighter Communities. This funding support programme regularly offers £1000 to a community, sporting or charity group or club which simply wants to build for the future and regenerate their much-loved local town, village or area.
We’ve also partnered with Belfast Live to recognise our fabulous teachers with the 2021 Power NI Teaching Hero Award. One ultimate winner receives £1000 for their school and £1000 to give themselves a well-deserved treat.
Our young people represent the future and working with Business in the Community NI we’re helping to plug the digital gap. As a BITC Digital Champion our £20K funding donation is helping to purchase devices, data and connectivity so that children and young people get the digital access they deserve.
Other key charities we support include Age NI where our staff take part in a Check in & Chat initiative, Mary Peters Trust and Action Mental Health.
As we move forward into a better post COVID future, all of us at Power NI are committed to continuing to provide much needed support for communities across Northern Ireland.
