Why do I have to provide meter readings when my meter is read regularly?

NIE Networks will regularly visit your property to obtain readings from your NIE Network meter. While they may record your export reading, they do not always provide it to us. Therefore in order to process your export payment, we will contact you and ask you to provide your export reading.

If you are eligible to receive ROCs Ofgem we will require a reading from your generation meter. This meter was fitted by your installer the same time as your renewable generator. As your generation meter is not read by the NIE Networks meter reader you will need to provide us with this reading when requested.
