Friends and family of the late Billy Robinson MBE from Glengormley joined forces for a fundraising evening at Shu Restaurant recently in aid of Marie Curie nurses. The event raised over £6,000 and was hosted by Billy’s daughter Denise Robinson, in memory of her father who was a highly regarded expert in the area of conflict resolution and counteracting sectarianism and inequality in the workplace. Pictured right is Billy's daughter Denise with close friend Beverley Nickell of Power NI who nominated the event for sponsorship through the company's ‘Helping Hands’ community support scheme. Suzy McIlveen, Senior Partnership Manager at Marie Curie Cancer Care said: "This much appreciated donation will support the continuation of the work that Marie Curie nurses do in caring for people during their final days."
