Power NI has partnered with IE Hub to provide customers with a simpler, more supportive way to share their financial circumstances and access the help they need.
This new partnership makes Power NI the first energy supplier in Northern Ireland to introduce IE Hub’s digital affordability platform, giving customers a secure and flexible way to complete an income and expenditure assessment and share it directly with us.
At Power NI, putting customers first is at the heart of everything we do. We know that financial pressures can affect anyone, and we are committed to supporting every customer in a way that works for them. This partnership is another step in making it easier for customers to reach out, explain their situation, and access the right support without added stress.
Through IE Hub, customers will be able to:
- Complete a digital income and expenditure assessment in their own time
- Securely share their financial information with Power NI
- Upload supporting documents where needed
- Identify potential entitlement to benefits, grants, and support schemes
- Access a more straightforward and accessible support journey
The platform allows customers to manage their finances at a pace that suits them, from the comfort of their own home, and easily update their information if their circumstances change. It also helps reduce the need for repeated conversations, making the process more streamlined and less overwhelming.
Power NI continues to work closely with the Utility Regulator and other stakeholders to improve how customers experiencing financial difficulty are supported, ensuring that services remain accessible, fair, and responsive.
Dylan Jones, CEO of IE Hub, said: “Financial difficulties can affect anyone, and for many people the hardest part is knowing where to start or having to repeatedly explain their situation.
This partnership with Power NI helps remove some of those barriers by giving customers a secure and accessible way to share their financial circumstances digitally and receive more tailored support.
We’re incredibly proud to be working with the first energy supplier in Northern Ireland to introduce this type of digital affordability journey for customers.”
Gwyneth Compston, Power NI CSR Manager said: “At Power NI, we’re committed to supporting every customer, especially during times of financial pressure.
Partnering with IE Hub allows us to offer a more flexible and supportive way for customers to share information about their circumstances, helping us better understand how we can support them in a way that works for them.
This is an important step in continuing to improve how we put customers first, making it easier to access help, reduce stress, and receive the right support at the right time.
Alongside this new partnership, Power NI is committed to making our customer service as accessible and straightforward as possible, with a range of help available. We provide a number of support services through the Customer Care Register, as well as partnering with Plain English and Plain Numbers initiative to simplify our communications. We would encourage any customer that needs more information to get in touch with us or visit our help and support section."
IE Hub supports hundreds of thousands of individuals each year through its digital affordability platform, working with organisations across utilities, financial services, local authorities and the third sector to improve financial wellbeing and customer support journeys.
