The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) are excited to begin a year of celebrations to commemorate 90 years in operation, which is kindly being sponsored by Power NI.

Already kicking the celebrations off at the recent Farmer’s Bash: Live at the Beach, there will be several more large-scale events throughout the year including, the Farmer’s Bash 2019 in October, an Anniversary Dinner in Titanic Belfast in March, and a Garden Party in June.

Zita McNaugher, YFCU President, announced the theme for this year at the YFCU AGM and Conference held in May, which depicts 90 years of heritage - ‘Celebrating 90 years of Change and Challenge’.

Zita commented: “Ninety years of YFCU is a massive achievement. We are celebrating 90 years of change and challenge which we have embraced and overcome to be the largest rural youth organisation in Northern Ireland. We have plenty of celebrations planned for this year, and I’m thrilled that Power NI has come on board as a sponsor.”

The recently unveiled 90th Anniversary Mascot, ‘YFC Moo’, will be attending lots of events and competitions throughout the year to remind members of this amazing achievement, and to honour the farming community and spirit.

Jack Ferguson, Commercial Business Development Manager at Power NI commented: “Power NI is delighted to partner with the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster for their 90th Anniversary. We’ve been a long-time supporter of YFCU and we’re looking forward to all the celebratory events over the next year.”
