What are storage heaters?

These contain heavy bricks which store heat from cheaper night-time electricity and provide heating during the next day. They can’t be plugged into normal sockets and need their own special wiring. They provide an affordable form of heating and require little maintenance, but if not controlled properly can lead too much or too little heat the next day.
