With Power NI your business could save on the cost of installing Variable Speed Technology with a NISEP funded grant of 20%*
Variable Speed Technology is one of the most cost effective energy saving technologies, yet despite this, there still remains considerable scope to install across a range of commerical applications throughout Northern Ireland.
Variable Speed Technology is like a 'dimmer switch' that automatically reduces the speed of a motor when it's not busy. You may have noticed this effect on escalators which slow down when no one is on them and speed up when in use. Variable Speed Technology can dramatically reduce the amount of electricity used by motors for intermittent jobs e.g. pumps, ventilation fans, air compressors, refrigeration etc.
Power NI successfully applied for funding from the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) for Variable Speed Technology during 2020-21 and a grant of 20% will be made available towards the cost of installation.
Any supplier or installer participating in a project where NISEP funding applies should adhere to the NISEP Vendor Requirements.
*The grant of 20% towards the cost of installing a Variable Speed Drive is funding by the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme and is available on a first come, first served basis
*This grant is subject to De minimis aid
* This grant is only available in NI
