This year's prestigious final of the YFCU Club Of The Year 2020 was able to take place virtually with Kilrea YFC coming out on top.
The competition this year, sponsored by Power NI, was extremely tight. Five clubs stood out and made it to the final - Glarryford YFC, Holestone YFC, Kilrea YFC, Lisnamurrican YFC and Randalstown YFC.
The final usually consists of a quiz amongst the finalists but this year the YFCU adapted the final stage. Finalists were asked to create a video with the title, ' What Makes My Club a Good Club?' The videos were judged and the scores then added to the totals from the previous stages.
Emily Fair, Commercial Marketing Executive at Power NI, commented, “Congratulations to Kilrea YFC for claiming the title! We’ve really enjoyed supporting YFCU in their 90th Anniversary year and it’s great that the Club of the Year competition was still able to take place, despite the challenging times we’re all currently facing.”
Winners, Kilrea YFC, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have won the YFCU Club of the Year. This is a great achievement for the club especially as we are going into our 75th anniversary year. The hard work and dedication of the members over the last twelve months has paid off”.
