I think my meter is faulty

Faulty meters are extremely rare and the reason for an unusually high bill usually lies elsewhere (click here for common high bill reasons).

If you wish, we can arrange for the Meter Operator, NIE Networks, to carry out a basic check of the meter and associated wiring. There is no charge for this but there is usually a waiting list of a few weeks.

If you are still not happy, we can arrange for a Check Meter to be fitted to verify the accuracy of your existing meter. There is a charge for this, but it would be refunded if the meter is subsequently found to be faulty, together with any overcharge.
