The club, located in the countryside of County Fermanagh, was nominated by Power NI employee, John Edgar, to receive the funding through the company’s Helping Hands initiative. The donation will be used to purchase footballs for the players.

The Helping Hands scheme is designed to support local communities, with a focus on grassroots sports, education, and community well-being.

Commenting on the funding, John said, "As an employee of Power NI, I am delighted that the company understands the importance of supporting local organisations in our communities. This donation has helped us purchase necessary equipment to allow our ladies teams to continue training, improving mental and physical health.”

He added - "We are so grateful for the Helping Hands funding from Power NI. This has ensured we are now able to include almost 100 members in our club. Making sport accessible and inclusive for children under 8 years of age right through to adult ladies."

Helping Hands is an employee-led initiative from Power NI that allows staff to nominate an organisation of their choice to receive a donation, that will help improve and continue the excellent work they are doing in their local community. To date, the scheme has provided thousands of pounds to many different organisations across Northern Ireland.
