Power NI has scooped two accolades at the prestigious Contact Centre Northern Ireland Awards.

Power NI is proud to have been nominated in four categories, including; Agent of the Year, Team Leader of the Year, Best Home Working Programme and Team of the Year, winning in the Agent and Team categories. Power NI has three bases in Northern Ireland in South Belfast, Antrim and Omagh with almost 400 staff.

Power NI’s Greg Basher received a Silver Award in the Agent of the Year category. Basher, 41, is based in the Antrim contact centre and has worked for Power NI for three years. The father of five commented on his win:

“I’m delighted to have received the award. It’s a real honour even to have been nominated. I’m very glad to work for Power NI. The support I receive and the enthusiasm that everyone in the team has makes it very easy to be so customer focussed”.

Power NI has also won Gold in a new category, Community Team of the Year. The award was created due to the high calibre and community focus of their Team of the Year entry. Energy sector employees have been recognised as key workers and we continued to serve 450,000 customers across Northern Ireland.

Head of Power NI Service Operations, Gillian McCaughtry praised her staff who go the extra mile:

“2020 has been a challenge for our teams who have continued to go above and beyond for our customers. From adapting to working at home to helping vulnerable customers and giving away thousands of pounds to charitable causes, our staff are amazingly powerful I am truly thrilled that we have been recognised by CCNNI with the special Community Team of the Year Award, recognising our work through COVID-19 and beyond”.

Jayne Davies, Director of the Contact Centre Network Northern Ireland congratulated Power NI on their success:

“We were delighted to receive some fantastic nominations from Power NI which demonstrated the breadth of service and support they have given to their customers, colleagues and community. What they have achieved during this difficult year has been really inspiring and we congratulate them on winning these two awards in a very competitive field.”
