Emergency situations (e.g. power cuts) can be reported to Northern Ireland Electricity Networks 24/7 on 03457 643 643 or online at powercheck.nienetworks.co.uk.
A pay-as-you-go electricity meter. You pay before you use electricity by topping up.
A meter where electricity is billed every 3 months. You pay by Direct Debit or on receipt of the bill.
A standard rate tariff means you pay the same price per unit regardless of the time of day.
An Economy 7 tariff a 7 hour cheaper overnight rate and a higher rate for electricity used during the day.
