The Insider Made in NI Awards ceremony took place in Titanic Belfast on Friday 17th May. The event, compered by Ian Moore, celebrated manufacturing and engineering firms achieving excellence across Northern Ireland.
The Made in NI Awards recognise businesses who are continually looking at innovative ways to improve their products and services. The Camden Group won the Sustainable / Ethical Manufacturer Award, sponsored by Power NI. This category recognises businesses who are trying to become more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint.
The Camden Group is the largest trade manufacturer of uPVC doors and windows in the UK and Irish markets. Camden operate a closed-loop manufacturing facility diverting up to 160 tonnes of old uPVC frames from landfill every week and reuse 80% of materials for new products. Other businesses who were shortlisted for the Sustainable / Ethical Manufacturer Award included Terex, Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt, Regency Carpet Manufacturing and Mivan.
