Power NI and the GMB Union have reaffirmed their longstanding partnership with the renewal of their Union Recognition Agreement, marking another positive step in strengthening workplace relations.

The refreshed agreement renews the framework for engagement, ensuring employees have a strong voice on pay, terms and conditions, and wider workplace issues, while supporting regular dialogue and communication between management and union representatives.

Both organisations are committed to their ongoing constructive relationship built on respect and cooperation, recognising that working together delivers better outcomes for staff, the organisation and its customers.

The agreement also establishes practical arrangements for consultation, negotiation, and resolving workplace concerns.

Power NI and GMB look forward to continuing to work together in supporting employees and promoting an inclusive, forward-thinking working environment.

William Steele, Customer Solutions Director at Power NI, said:
"Power NI has enjoyed a strong and constructive relationship with the GMB Union for many years, and we are pleased to renew our Recognition Agreement.

"The refresh of the recognition agreement represents a reflection of modern working practices and engagement, and we look forward to continuing to work constructively in the future."

Alan Perry, Senior Organiser at GMB, added:
"This agreement lays the groundwork for a more open and constructive relationship with Power NI.

"It gives workers a genuine voice and ensures key issues can be addressed positively, with fairness and respect at the heart of our approach."
