Grange Park Primary School in Bangor has received a generous boost from Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading electricity supplier, thanks to its Helping Hands staff initiative.
The school was nominated for the £300 donation by Power NI employee Gail Carr, to help with the purchase of costumes for an upcoming schools' dance competition.
“This funding provides us with a fantastic opportunity to buy costumes for our dancers,” said Grange Park Primary teacher and choreographer Rachel McFarland. “Without this support, the financial burden would have fallen on parents, so we are incredibly grateful. Our dance team is in its second year and growing stronger, and with Power NI’s help, we can ensure that all our dancers—across three group teams, pairs, and solo entries—are fully equipped for the competition.”
Power NI’s Helping Hands scheme empowers employees to support causes close to their hearts by nominating local organisations for funding. To date, the initiative has helped countless groups across Northern Ireland, reinforcing the company’s commitment to community support.
