Power NI set to Light Up Culture Night Belfast!

The biggest event in Belfast’s Cultural Calendar is “powering up” for a very special takeover!

For Culture Night and Day on the 20 and 21 September, Power NI will be making over Cathedral Gardens in the city’s historic Cathedral Quarter with a night-and-day mini-festival of live music, events, cool animation and pop-up circus performances!

For the evening of Friday 20 September, Cathedral Gardens will be magically transformed into Light Gardens. Power NI will energise the space with the Power NI Presents stage featuring top funk and soul acts from Northern Ireland, compered by U105’s Carolyn Stewart! Then on Saturday, The Power NI Stage will host the Best of NI Emerging Musicians.

Across both days, Power NI will bring a splash of Light and Colour to Cathedral Gardens with pop-up circus performance, Street Countdown and The Power NI Photo Experience. Plus, if you get down early for Culture Day, Power NI have teamed up with local small business Curated Kitchen to give away 500 FREE hot drinks. First come, first served!

Culture Night manager Claire Hall said:

“We’re delighted to be teaming up again with Power NI to bring something truly special to what is already an iconic space on the Culture Night map. Power NI has lined up a magical, memorable two days at Cathedral Gardens. This really is our kind of energy!

Gemma-Louise Bond, Senior Sponsorship & Events Executive at Power NI said:

“Power NI is delighted to join Culture Night for a second year running. We are proud to be a supplier that encourages local and promotes talent – lots of which will be on the Power NI Music Stage. We can’t wait to see everyone having a memorable night (and day!) out in the city!”
