Power NI Goes Green

Friday, September 28, 2012

Power NI has joined forces with The Green Party in Northern Ireland in a bid to make home owners more energy aware.

North Down Green Party MLA Steven Agnew recently welcomed Power NI into his constituency office in Bangor to hold an open day where they provided expert guidance and energy saving tips to help local households reduce their annual energy bills.

Power NI and Green Party representatives were on hand at the open day to give energy saving advice and in the lead up to the event Power NI provided the opportunity for three local residents to win energy saving packs worth over £65 each.

Green Party Leader Steven Agnew commented: “We are delighted to have NI’s leading energy company on board with the Green Party. "A big thanks to Power NI for coming along to the open day to advise my constituents on reducing their carbon footprint as well as their bills.”

Wilma Stewart from Power NI added: Through our ‘Face to Face Programme’ we aim to get out and about in the community, delivering meaningful interactions to our customers, organisations and representative groups. “It’s a pleasure to be invited to partner the Green Party and to get the opportunity to promote energy awareness in the area.”
