Power NI has donated money to St. Mary’s Primary School, Maghera as part of their staff sponsorship scheme ‘Helping Hands in the Community’.

Michael Merron from Power NI nominated the local school to receive the money in order to purchase outdoor sports equipment, as suggested by the pupil council. Michael commented: “Power NI’s ‘Helping Hands’ scheme is a great boost for staff because we can give something back to our local communities and I am delighted that St. Mary’s Primary School has received this funding.”

Miss Joanne McKenna, Vice Principal of the school, added: “Many thanks to Michael and Power NI, the support is greatly appreciated and has been used to purchase new equipment for the playgrounds at lunch time. “
