Power NI teams up with NI Hospice Town Tour


U105 and NI Hospice called upon local businesses to compete in the ‘Power NI Hospice Challenge’ that seen participating teams receive £30 capital and through team work, creativity and strong business flair, participants were asked to turn this into a minimum of £1,000, with four teams going through to the final.

Businesses all over Northern Ireland took part in the challenge, turning the seed capital of £30 provided by Power NI into a 4 figure total. After a month of non-stop fundraising the winning company was announced at an event hosted by U105 and NI Hospice at the UTV buildings. NI Hospice team up with Power NI2 Out of the four finalist Diageo was announced the winner of the ‘Power NI Hospice Challenge’ having made the most amount of money from the £30 seed capital. There to present the awards to the finalists was Christopher Shannon from Power NI along with Ellen Hillen from NI Hospice and radio presenter Maurice Jay from U105.
