Power NI re-‘kindle’ the fun at Ahoghill Community Playgroup
A big thumbs up to Power NI from all the pupils at the Ahoghill Community Playgroup for donating £250 to buy two Kindles through our 'Helping Hands’ staff sponsorship scheme.
Pupils at Ahoghill Community Playgroup have received two Kindles with the help of Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy supplier. These new interactive tablets allow the children to access educational games and read books. The donation is a result of Power NI’s staff sponsorship scheme, ‘Helping Hands’, which encourages employees to nominate an organisation of their choice.
Power NI employee, Amanda McCallion, who is from Randalstown and whose child attends the playgroup organisation, nominated the Ahoghill Community playgroup to receive the funding: "I’m delighted to be able to support my local community. The ‘Helping Hands’ scheme is a fantastic way for Power NI employees to give back to the local community and support worthwhile groups."
Pearl Miller, playgroup leader, added: "We are absolutely delighted to receive a donation from Power NI. It has enabled us to buy two Kindles and the children love them. We would also like to thank Amanda McCallion for the nomination. "
