New Free Home Energy Check from Power NI

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Northern Ireland’s leading electricity provider, Power NI have launched a free online home energy check to help consumers find out how they can make practical saving on their electricity bills.

The online energy calculator asks simple questions about the type of property, its construction and heating sources. It then provides a summary of the estimated energy efficiency of your home as well as a free downloadable energy report on how energy efficient your home is.

Depending on the outcome, the Home Energy Check recommends simple actions you can take, such as using more low energy lighting or improving your cavity wall insulation and how much you could potentially save by taking these actions.

It also estimates the energy rating of your home and how it could be improved. In many instances the potential saving to your fuel bill over a year can be significant. The Power NI Home Energy Check is available to anyone!

Launching the Power NI Home Energy Check, Head of Energy Services, Jenny Livingstone said, “We’re launching our new Home Energy Check at the start of 2017, to support people when spring cleaning their finances, whilst at the same time giving them a more energy efficient home.

The Power NI Home Energy Check offers practical tips and actions to reduce home energy costs. In addition, we have products and services such as cavity wall insulation, new boilers and home energy monitors that can help people realise these savings. It’s surprising how a few small improvements could save you ££s every year!”
