Power NI supports Greenisland Football Club

Monday, November 16, 2015

Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy supplier, recently donated £250 to Greenisland Football Club, Antrim to purchase new kits and equipment for the club.

The money came from Power NI’s continual staff sponsorship scheme called ‘Helping Hands in the Community’, where employees are encouraged to nominate an organisation of their choice to receive funding as part of Power NI’s corporate social responsibility.

Power NI employee, Gillian Montgomery, who nominated Greenisland Football Club to receive the donation, spoke about why she chose this particular organisation: "The money from helping hands has been a fantastic help for my son’s football club. The boys train twice a week and play on a Saturday so the training equipment is always in use. The money from Power NI means they have been able to keep the training equipment and kit fresh and up to date. Support is hard to find, so a massive thank you to Power NI from Greenisland Football Club and I".
