Our renewable electricity is achieved through PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) with biomass, wind, photo-voltaic (PV) and hydroelectric generators across Northern Ireland. All renewable energy that Power NI purchases through PPA’s is from generators exclusively in NI.

Power NI's renewable electricity is backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) certificates issued by the UK energy regulator, Ofgem.
