Information for Keypad customers
From 16 September, when you buy a top-up you will receive a 40-60 digit tariff change code you will need to enter into your meter. If you're experiencing issues topping up, email us or call us on 08000 285 455. We've extended our opening hours to support customers, visit contact us to find out more.
There are a few different types of meter. To help you with reading your meter see our meter reading guide below. If your meter is in a hard-to-read location please contact us.
Digital meters
Read the numbers on the screen from left to right.
Clock meters
Read dials from left to right. Ignore any numbers marked 1/10 or 1/100 or any numbers in red. If the clock hand is pointing between two numbers, read the lower number.
Keypad meters
Press 9 on the Keypad and read the digitals from left to right.
