Do I need to change my meter if I am having solar panels installed?

Yes, you will need to have an Import Export meter installed so that the exported units can be counted. The solar panel installer will apply to NIE Networks on your behalf to arrange the meter change. Please note that the installer shouldn't commission the panels until after the meter change has been completed.
