Billing FAQs
Your heat pump and battery will benefit from off-peak price energy and the battery will avoid using peak price energy. Also, your solar PV panels will generate electricity during daylight hours, with the battery storing electricity for use later, avoiding import of electricity at peak rates.
It is a requirement of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive that tenants in the Low Carbon Programme (LCP) change to a time-of-use (ToU) electricity tariff. This is to minimise the energy cost of moving to electrical heating with a heat pump, as well as to work with solar PV and battery storage, installed as part of the LCP.
Our local energy experts will help you decide on the tariff to suit your needs. Complete the form below to arrange a call back.

If you have any questions regarding the retrofit to your home by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, please contact your Patch Manager.
During the summer your heat pump, just like your old boiler, will use a lot less energy than during the winter. This, along with zero cost energy from your solar PV, means that during the summer months your electricity bills are very low.
In the winter months you heat pump will need to run a lot more to provide space heating. Also, there will be less solar energy generated by your PV panels. This means that winter electricity bills will be much higher compared to the summer.
If you are a keypad customer, you can top-up extra on your keypad meter above what you need during the summer months. This will bank credit for the winter and keep peak winter bills lower.
If you are a bill pay customer you can pay by monthly direct debit and the cost of your annual electricity bill will be spread evenly over the year, reducing the impact of higher winter consumption.
