Keypad top-up codes usually have 20-digits. However, when a change needs to be made to your meter, you’ll receive a longer code. When you buy a top-up after a Keypad update, you will be given a special 40 to 60-digit code, depending on your tariff. In the event of a price change, this will credit your Keypad with your top-up amount and update it with the new unit rate. In the event of a settings update, this will change the configuration of your meter.
From 13 February 2024, you will receive a long code when you top up. This is for a configuration update to help improve the performance of your Keypad meter. This will have no impact on the day-to-day operation of your Keypad and you can continue to use it as normal.
If you have received a longer top up code, simply key it in as normal.
