There are a few different types of meter. To help you with reading your meter see our meter reading guide below. If your meter is in a hard-to-read location please contact us on 03457 455 455. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Digital meters
Read from left to right ignoring any numbers marked 1/10 or 1/1000 or any numbers in red.
Clock meters
Read dials from left to right. Ignore any numbers marked 1/10 or 1/100 or any numbers in red. If the clock hand is pointing between two numbers, read the lower number.
Keypad meters
Press 9 on the Keypad and read the digitals from left to right.
